I am surprised that some would even suggest that access and physician enrollment will not be substantially (and negatively) impacted with the drop in Medicaid physician payments for many states. The impact of increased Medicaid enrollees in expansion states certainly strains provider schedules, now tie-in the relapse of reduced reimbursement insufficient to cover costs of care….we will see if standard economic theory fits here.
